Description

Place some notes on the grid, transpose them while playing, sync it, unsync it.

A small fun device to celebrate my new digital and ensemble synths over at

trying to use it, but i don't understand what it does. apparently i have to run midi notes into the device, it doesn't generate them, it's processing incoming midi. but what exactly does it do??? how does the grid work?? what are these numbers supposed to tell me?? it's rather useless without an explanation, which is sad since it seems to have some potential...

    Hello,
The Note Trap works indeed with note messages.
A gate passes note on messages to the grid, a note off closes the gate, at the same time it triggers the sequencer.
The sequencer goes through the matrix and looks if there are dots on the grid. The dots again are additional note triggers which are squeezed into the right scale/tonic with the 'modes' / 'tonic' parameters. The result is a lovely melody and chords which can be transposed depending on the incoming note value.
I recommend to play a instrument where the sustain is turned down for best results.
Here's a quick demo set with 2 tracks and Operators (i hope this works for you).

This is very awesome and super useful!
However, it seems like it doesnt process the note offs correctly.
Example: I play a "C" on my keyboard. After a bar I play a "D" on my keyboard. The played "C"
pattern "hangs" for a cycle or two and overlaps with the new played "D" key, (So both are running somehow same time, but I have released "C" when I pressed "D" on my keyboard.
After a while the "C" Key pattern stops, but should be long stopped before.
I hope you understand what I mean. :)
Nevertheless, excellent device. I just hope you can figure out a way that it will work smoothly in the future when transposing the note trap sequence.
