a better search for max devices

Submit Your Max for Live Device to max4.live

· max4.live editorial

Starting today, Max for Live authors can list their devices on max4.live directly, using the new submission form. It's free, every listing is credited to its author, and every one is checked by a person before it goes live.

Why we built it

max4.live has grown into the place a lot of producers start when they're looking for a device. In the last 28 days Google sent close to 1,900 visitors here from search, about 100 a day in the most recent week, and around 2,000 people used the site in the past seven days. Many of them arrive through the MCP connector for Claude and ChatGPT as well.

At the same time, our copy of the maxforlive.com library stopped updating on August 7, 2026, when that site began blocking automated access (here's what happened). We don't work around that block. So a growing audience was looking at a catalogue that could no longer grow. Letting authors bring their devices to us directly fixes that, and it means the description you read here is the author's own.

How it works

Already on maxforlive.com? No duplicates

If your device is also in the maxforlive.com catalogue, paste its maxforlive.com link into the form. Instead of creating a second page, we show your description and links at the top of the existing max4.live page for that device, and credit both sources. That page keeps its place in search results, and your listing still lives in its own record, so either side can change without overwriting the other. If you don't paste a link, we still look for a match by author and title, and the reviewer confirms it before anything is linked.
