For my setup, I use a softstep 2 controller with a song per page, and a button that sets all patches to the specific song.
The way I previously did this was with chain selectors, and a midi CC trigger, (eg channel 1, CC 1, value 0-127) to control the position on each instrument's chain corresponding to each song.
Would it be possible to create an option/version of this device where you can map the variation number to the value (0-127) of a single mapped CC signal? So CC1 #0 would select variation 1, and CC1 #127 would select variation 128.
I'm thinking, for example in this device, if the box with the variation number was assignable as a separate MIDI parameter, so this function would work alongside the current up/down parameters, and wouldn't necessarily interfere with current functionality.
Thanks again and hope this makes sense!
