Ring modulates the input with a phase shifted version of itself. An allpass filter flips the phase 180° at the [Center] frequency, effectively creating an octave-up at that point. [Res] sets the steepness with which the phase shifts from 0° to 360° around the [Center].

The ring modulator can be band limited with [Pinch] but watch out, the limiter will easily oscillate at high [Res] settings.

The signal can be widened with the [Spread] setting. This offsets the [Center] frequency of the left and right channels.
