Description

This device allows you to set a minimum pressure threshold that has to be reached before Aftertouch is activated. After the threshold is reached, the Aftertouch modulation goes from 0 to 127 linearly. It also features two windows that show the Aftertouch signal over time, before and after processing.

I created this device because the Aftertouch on my pad-controller was too sensitive. It was always triggering, even when touching the pads only slightly. This device solves that issue.

At the moment it only works with Channel-Aftertouch, not with polyphonic pressure. I might add the latter in the future.

One thing to point out is that higher thresholds lead to a lower resolution of the aftertouch modulation. This is only becomes noticeable at very high thresholds (< 100 is recommended). When the threshold is set to 126, the modulation moves from 0 to 127 directly, which can be used for rythmic effects. A threshold of 0 effectively bypasses the device.
