ULTRA KICK produced the iconic TR-808 Bass Drum sound of Bass Music in initial value, which meant that Pitch had to be easily controlled and that it would be able to be used in lower Fundamentals by increasing the sound to Overdrive.

The original hardware has only one knob that controls the tone.The Decay knob controls the length of time. The Tone knob focuses on the out-of-control pitch, sets the initial value at about 56 Hz when two knobs are 12 o'clock long, and the pitch can be easily controlled by the Pitch Parameter.

Existing processes delete unnecessary parameters such as original hardware audio out -> digital resampling -> transpose -> saturator and the minimum required parameters remain.
