Description

This is a controller designed for users of Meris LVX. It supports the LVX v1.3 firmware.

Now, the Damping parameter can be controlled as well as loaded, and clicking the preset number reloads the current LVX parameter values. Additionally, minor issues have been resolved.

The looper, modifier, and expression functions of LVX are still not controllable. While preparation is complete, activating these features requires time investment on my part.

(Meris recently released PrEDITOR, which allows for control of all LVX functions and library storage through an app.)

This contrasts with PrEDITOR by enabling control and viewing of all parameters at once for the Dynamics, Preamp, Filter, Pitch, Modulate, Delay (including Multi tab and Multer filter), and Mix modules.

Furthermore, when using automation in Ableton Live, it's possible to sequence while observing the values applied on LVX, not just the CC values of the parameters.

PrEDITOR requires controlling each parameter on module-specific pages, making it somewhat cumbersome to create your own sound by checking all parameters at once.

I requested a MIDI Thru off feature from Meris last year, but it seems it was not adopted in this firmware update.

So to avoid MIDI infinite loops, please use the channel set on the LVX for the MIDI Out channel in ableton, and any other channel for the MIDI In channel.

For example, if the LVX is using MIDI channel 3, set the MIDI In to any single channel other than 3 (never use “All Channels”), and set the MIDI Out to channel 3.

Although I believe very few people will actually use it, it could be very useful when used in conjunction with prEDITOR.

Additionally, in the top category names, clicking the ‘H’ in ‘PITCH’ will reveal a hidden menu where you can set the Kill Dry option.
