Description

Here is a new M4L audio effect device I've been working on! It doesn't produce or manipulate audio, but it performs calculations that are useful for exploring tempo divisions in milliseconds (ms), hertz (hz), and events per minute (epm).

Now, I know there are already tools out there that can convert BPM to ms and hz, but the main feature of this device is the epm. I was inspired to develop this concept after watching this video discussing polyrhythmic mixing:

When blending rhythms at various tempos, one may encounter situations where a track set at, for instance, 120 BPM equates to 120 events per minute if considering quarter notes. However, these 120 events could also represent different subdivisions of another BPM, such as 1/8nd or 1/4nt, and so forth. Essentially, the epm page of the device displays the results of such calculations, allowing artists to delve into intricate tempo blends, similar to what's demonstrated in the YouTube video.

Shout out to Alex Mesker for the help!

Hope you enjoy it
