gd-blurry is a Max For Live device that I originally created in the Max/MSP Pluggo environment around 2004 & updated for M4L in 2023. It captures incoming audio and applies a “spectral blur” effect. You can control the rate at which it scans through the buffer (forwards or backwards). You can also fine tune the amount and kind of blurring with the magnitude threshold, X-axis blur & Y-Axis blur. This is a fun one for smearing audio in different ways, I often use it with a slow rate setting around 0.25 or so.
