Description

Control your Behringer Proton semi-modular synth from within Abelton Live using this Max for Live MIDI effect.

Standard Edition

The free "standard edition" of the setting editor provides access to most of the commonly used Proton settings, including settings that can only be accessed via the extra panel settings. For example, enabling/disabling the oscillator tuning control or changing the waveform of the sub oscillators would normally require you to access the extra panel settings by pressing two separate buttons which are hard to remember.

Included is a quick way to restart the Proton to trigger auto-tuning of the oscillators (Restore Factory Settings). This is a great way to avoid power cycling the Eurorack case when you just need to retune the oscillators.

Also included is a button to clear stuck notes. A common problem when triggering the Proton from a sequencer.

Note that because the Proton can only receive MIDI and SysEx commands when installed in a Eurorack case, the settings in the Max for Live device will not be in-sync if you press the buttons on the Proton.

Pro Edition

The Pro Edition includes support for all of the Proton settings that can be controlled via SysEx commands such as changing the MIDI channel via software. The expanded set of controls is presented in a separate pop-up window.

The Pro Edition device was created to solve a problem I was having with controlling the assigned MIDI channel when using the Proton in a Eurorack case.
