Description

Jangdan is a Max for Live MIDI device inspired by the rich rhythmic traditions of gugak (traditional Korean music). All proceeds from this device are donated to the Arts and Culture Programs at The Korea Society.

- Unique sequencing using jeongganbo notation, a historic system used to transcribe jangdan for the janggu, an hour-glass shaped Korean drum. Each square represents a beat, and notation symbols indicate specific playing techniques.
