OCTAVES is a Max for Live step sequencer that transposes incoming MIDI notes up or down by up to 3 octaves per step.

The sequencer is note-driven rather than clock-based. It advances with each incoming note and can be reset via a definable MIDI note or each time playback starts.

A probability lane controls the likelihood of each transposition occurring, adding dynamic variation to sequences. You can select anywhere between a 2-32 step length. The entire sequence can be shifted left or right, and randomization can be applied to octaves, probability, or both for more unpredictable patterns.

OCTAVES works well alongside other sequencers or with notes from the piano roll, adding movement to static melodies, arpeggios, and sequences.
