Description

Self-explaining device name : search a keyword in scene names, will select the first scene in the set which name contains that keyword. This is no funky stuff, but can be very useful.

Made this patch for a DJ friend, but I think I'll use it on my next theater / dance project rehearsals. As I'm quite new to max, specially in the live.api area, I'm quite interested to know if this can be optimised.

Version 1.10 worked up to 333 scenes. Modified it to go up to 1000 scenes. Version 1.11 came in a zip file containing the amxd file, a modified standard abstractions, and instructions to install it. In version 1.12, I just copied the content of the abstraction into a patcher to simplify the installation process.

    VERY USEFUL DEVICE!
Now I'll never have headaches when I search for a song in my DJ session of 785 scenes ...
    Thanks a lot, you're a genius!

When cleaning the patch, I had accidentally got rid of the audiothru part... This is still version 1.12, with audiothru back ! Thanks to DandeRosilles for pointing this out.

    I just stumbled upon it.
I dont have a direct use for it yet.
But i think its really interesting to take tools like this one and come to interesting ideas in the future.
Thanks for making and experimenting !

Awesome device, thank you for making it.
I'm using Live 11, and just updated max. I noticed that this device is only searching to scene 314 and no further. Any insight on this would be appreciated.
    thanks for your time!

Tarantulope, sorry for the late answer but I hadn't visited the site for a while. It seems there was a problem with the modified abstraction I included in 1.12, although it has been tested by several persons with success. Maybe you can DL version 1.11 and copy the abstraction included in the zip file ? Just tested it in Live 11 and it worked even beyond 1000...
