bve.ultomatoncore uses John Conway's Game of Life to trigger 'events'. These events can be mapped to any parameter inside Ableton. The Game of Life is driven by audio input (attack detection). Although the Game of Life is at the very core of this application, bve.ultomatoncore feels very much like a game of chance, which can be controlled by the performer to some extent.

bve.ultomatoncore is slaved to Live's transport. In other words, Live's transport has to be be active in order for the Game of Life to run.
