Description

Live Scale is a pitch quantizer like the "Scale" MIDI FX, but with live input for the scale notes.

Put a "conductor" in one track, that you can either press chords live, or write your scales in clips.

Put a "unit" in every track you want to follow the conductor's scale.

You can have up to 4 independent groups of conductors/units.

UPDATE v2.2 20250910 :

- fixed undo pollution

- to revert the device when you load a live set, you now have to hit "save" on the device, then save your set. Sorry, there's currently no better way.

UPDATE v2.1 20250909 :

- removed the time window concept. Now you simply add notes as you go, as long as you keep holding one note.

- Two modes : "+" : only add notes,"+/-": removes released notes.

- option to enable or disable simultaneous duplicates of the same note.

- new ALL button to quickly enable all notes.

damn... i was just think yesterday that i needed a tool to do this, and was considering making it myself. seems like we're cosmically in sync somehow, louis. thank you sm for this gift!

    Thank you Louis.
Unfortunately I can not get the Unit (on track 2) to receive the output of Conductor (on track 1, playing the chords).
This is in Ableton 11 on an M1, Sonoma 14.7.5.
    Any ideas? Thanks!

Weird. Any message in Max window ? I just tested on L11, I've got a warning message that it's been created on Max9, but everything works well.

I've been using an early version of this for what seems like years, one of the most useful MFL devices out there. Glad you are still updating it.

    @rosko :
How is it going ? I don't remember when/where/how I did share it in the past, would you remind me ?
Anyway, I hope it's working well, please don't hesitate to report issues/suggestions !
