Tintinnabuli is a MIDI Transformation for Ableton Live that brings Arvo Pärt’s celebrated compositional technique into your workflow. It generates companion voices from your existing material that feel both simple and strangely beautiful.

The tintinnabuli method pairs each melody note with the nearest chord tone, chosen above, below, or alternating. This strict process creates counter-voices that are tightly interlocked with the melody yet resonate with a luminous, bell-like clarity.

Tintinnabuli makes the technique practical and flexible inside Live. You can:

- Define the chord by setting root and intervals

- Choose direction (above, below, alternating) and distance from the melody

- Merge repeated notes into longer sustained tones

- Add rhythmic shifts with dotted, triplet, or wrapped delays

- Replace the original line or layer the tintinnabuli voice on top

No theoretical background is needed; the device produces musically coherent results straight away, while still offering fine control for deeper exploration.
