The MAXXA Limiter is a powerful and transparent limiter built in Max for Live, designed to deliver maximum loudness without compromising the natural shape and quality of your audio.

- Precise Ceiling: sets the maximum peak level in dBFS, ensuring no signal exceeds the limit.

- Gain with Fine Adjustment: main gain control plus an additional ±0.10 dB step for micro-tuning.

- Safe Mode (S): inspired by inflator-style processing, adds an extra layer of protection while preserving dynamics and avoiding distortion.

- RMS Input/Output Meters: visual monitoring to easily compare the impact of processing.

- Waveform Transparency: preserves the natural curvature of the signal even when pushed to the ceiling.

How it Works

The MAXXA Limiter combines lookahead technology with a dual gain-stage design:

- Predicted Gain (g1): anticipates peaks with instant attack, transparently reducing levels.

- Final Safeguard (g2): ensures no signal crosses the ceiling, applying smooth gain correction to avoid artifacts or “flat” peaks.

The result is a loud, clean, and defined output, ready for mixing or mastering inside Ableton Live.
