Description
Tape Machine V1.1 is a Dual Tape Emulation for Ableton Live designed by @supertramp162 (Stephen Black). It's a Max for Live device that emulates the character, quirks, and warmth of vintage tape machines and cassette decks
Updates from the original version include:
🎛️ Dual Tape Paths – route your audio through two independent tape emulations.
⏹️ Tape Stop Controls – each deck can be stopped independently for live performance and degraded transitions.
Each tape path includes controls for noise, warping, distortion, filtering, and delay with feedback, making it possible to sculpt anything from subtle analog warmth to unstable lo-fi and ambient chaos.
Tape Machineworks as both an audio effect and a playable instrument. Use it to:
- Add nostalgic color and hiss to tracks
- Build cascading tape delays and degraded loops
- Create immersive ambient soundscapes
- Perform live with independent tape stops and feedback tricks
