Description
I switched from a hardware controller to an e-piano that has no mod wheel. Since I often need modulation more than sustain when playing synths, I remapped my sustain pedal to act as a mod wheel. To make this reliable, I built this little device.
It converts sustain-pedal input into modulation, with a configurable output range. Min and max can be inverted, and you can define a 'virtual' maximum if your pedal doesn't send the full 1–127 range (mine jumps from ~85 to 127).
There is also an option to suppress the original sustain messages so the pedal controls modulation only.
This is my first device, so feedback and bug reports are appreciated.
