Description

at its core, quartet is a looper—albeit a strange one.

quartet takes a single recording of audio and layers up to four simultaneous loops. adjust each loop's speed, start point, and length to create textures that evolve seemingly endlessly. as loops of different lengths cycle, they phase against each other in free-form organic drift or tempo-synced polyrhythmic patterns. throw in drum grooves for frenetic breakbeat jazz or layer sustained tones for pulsating drones.

built-in digital degradation adds crunch and texture. mix each loop with independent volume and pan control to craft entire compositions.
