Description
OVERVIEW :
Delete Clip is a Max for Live device that enables clip deletion directly from a MIDI controller or from Ableton's session view, with two distinct interaction modes designed for performance and live looping workflows.
MODES :
Tap Mode
Delete could be triggered by a momentary control mapped to the Delete button.
• Map the Delete button to any momentary MIDI control (button, pad, pedal)
• Hold Delete to arm the device
• While held, any clip you click is immediately deleted
Enables selective, gesture-controlled clip removal mid-performance
Especially usefull with APC40 or other surface without delete option
DoubleTap Mode
Delete is triggered by a double-click on the clip, independently of the Delete button state.
• Delete can remain permanently active
• A single click on a clip triggers normal behavior (launch, record ect...)
• A double-click deletes the clip
No need to hold any physical control during performance
Example with DoubleTap Mode :
Single click → starts recording
Double-click → deletes the clip
Triple-Click → Delete and re-recorde.
Allows fast loop management without interrupting performance flow.
Scene Cleanup : it works also for scene, if you want to delete a entiere scene (or group)
