Description

Simple devices that always keep a track armed

If the track is disarmed, it will quickly re-arm it.

Useful when you use exclusive arming but still want a track to remain armed.

Description says: If the track is disarmed, it will quickly re-arm it.
Does that mean if "exclusive arm" is selected in preferences, if another track is armed, Ableton will disarm this track momentarily, but the device will quickly rearm it?
I can't have momentary disarming. I plan on keeping a resampling audio track continuously armed to record my live productions, so I need the track to remained armed continuously. Thanks

    Hello SpacetimeLive,
If "exclusive arm" is selected in the preferences and you arm another track, the track with the "always arm" device will be disarmed momentarily and quickly rearmed (which would cause an audio cut in your case).
Maybe the simplest solution for you is to set the track that records your production to "In" monitoring instead.

Is it possible to modify this device to always arm MIDI-only track also? I want to keep certain midi tracks always arms and those tracks only sends midi (to say IAC driver). The moment I drag this device on such midi only track it changes "Midi to" to "Audio To" and I am not able to use the track as midi-only.
