Description
amBe is a multi-looper for textures/tones/ambient music production or performance. It is a m4l patch controlled by a lemur layout, connected via OSC, so no setup beyond making an OSC target.
Watch this (2 min) video to see what amBe is and does:
http://youtu.be/Pn9UmX8cvF0
You can really do a lot with it. Watch the video to really get a feel, but here are some key points to it:
--Record or drag in a sample or a folder of samples to select from
--Has 3 loopers that you can proccess and affect individually (envelopes, FX, etc)
--Waveform displays on the lemur itself, and you can touch the loop points and crossfades
--playback as a loop/one shot/sequence with crossfades
--Has sequencer/lfo/double tap recording of movements to automate parameters, looping position, size and more
--control FX positioning and a 16 bank presets which you can store and load interchageable with each looper.
--more stuff
here are setup tips:
--make an OSC target on lemur
--follow instructions on m4l patch
--after setting up load in empty presets and then a full one so the m4l patch and lemur are in sync
--check out the 'help' tab in the top right corner of the lemur layout
--enjoy
if you still have trouble, check out one of my layout's tutorial on setting up (should be similar)
