Description

This Max for Live device compresses individual frequency bands of a signal separately using FFT. Unlike a regular compressor, this compressor can greatly modify a signal's frequency content, not just its dynamic range, producing a variety of effects. The compression parameters work just like a regular dynamic compressor, with the exception being the ratio, which is inverted to allow access to negative ratios more easily.

NOTICE: Due to using FFT for audio processing, this device requires 2048 samples of latency (approx. 46ms at 44.1kHz sampling rate), which may make it unsuitable for live performance applications where precise timing from a performer is required. Please take this into consideration before purchasing this device.

Thank You for this! really useful device. I would call it as dynamic resonance equaliser.
It almost works like Soothe! )

Cool concept! I can't figure out how to focus compression on a given frequency band though (to help tame nasal harmonics, for instance). Any thoughts? Thanks!
