Description

Instantly record and play multiple samples at different speed and direction. You can play and control 2 sound samples simultaneously and pan them however you like. Map MIDI controller's CC, On/ Off buttons and MIDI keyboard to control and play the samples. Record samples with a total duration of 5 min.. Don't forget to "sel" (select) the one you want to play.

Created with Ableton 10.1.9 and Max 8.0

Put the main patch on an audio track and the accompanying Routing MIDI to Max Audio Effect Version 1.0 patch on a MIDI track and check Monitor In in Ableton in order to use your MIDI keyboard and send MIDI note messages to the sampler.

In the sampler:

1. Get sound on the input

2. Record a buffer

3. Press "sel" - in order to select the buffer you just recorded (it should become yellow as it is on the image)

4. Set "gain" , "pan"

5. Check the dots in the output matrix ( lower right) otherwise you will get no sound output.

6. Move one of the speed sliders in order to play your buffer

If you want to play from a MIDI keyboard have it connected and drag the Routing MIDI to Max Audio Effect Version 1.0 on a MIDI track in Ableton. It should send the MIDI messages to the sampler. Middle C is your original sound.

Good luck!

Have fun with it!

I tried to find an address to email you. I was able to get a sample recorded into this. But I cannot for life of me manage to get any output from it. Played around for 30 minutes with no result. Looks pretty cool and I'd like to figure it out.

Hi Rob! Sorry for the late respond, but maxforlive.com does not inform me if anyone leaves a message here. You can write me through the contact form of my website which is displayed on my profile or otherwise - [email protected]
    So, let's see:
    1. Get sound on the input
    2. Record a buffer
    3. Press "sel" - in order to select the buffer you just recorded (it should become yellow as it is on the image)
    4. Set "gain" , "pan"
    5. Check the dots in the output matrix ( lower right) otherwise you will get no sound output.
    6. Move a slider in order to play your buffer
If you want to play from a MIDI keyboard have it connected and open the Routing MIDI to Max Audio Effect Version 1.0 on a MIDI track in Ableton. It should send the MIDI messages to the sampler. Middle C is your original sound.
    Good luck!
