DreamCast GameCntrl is a device built to allow HID2Midi conversion especially for the Dreamcast Arcade Stick (But not only): http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/69/Dreamcast_ArcadeStick.jpg

The 7 Buttons sends midi notes arranged by a logical visual way to the drum racks and the Joystick sends CC30.

If you have the EMS TrioLinker Plus II (Dreamcast to USB converter) it will automatically lock and you can start playing, if you don't own the EMS TrioLinker simply choose your HID device from the Drop down Menu under the Settings tab.

If you wish to map any of the buttons or the joystick to control something in Live simply create a new midi track, set the 'Midi From' to the track the DreamCast GameCntlr is on, set 'Midi To' to One of the virtual midi drivers (IAC on Mac, Midi Yoke on PC) and put the tracks's monitor on IN.

Note: Make sure the Track and Remote are turned on in Ableton's Midi preferences.
