Description

This device was inspired by Rich Bernett's Cassettone: a DIY instrument that allows you to play a cassette tape back at different speeds via tunable keys. The device's interface is very similar to the Cassettone's and also features controllable tape emulation effects such as wow/flutter, tape compression/saturation, tape noise, and four different frequency response filters modeled after a real cassette player. A manual is included with this download that explains everything in detail.

sweet!  I've been after something along these lines (can never get enough tape tools honestly!).  Thanks for sharing it with us!

This thing is great!  Take a look at the included manual if you're confused at all.   I was trying to drop it on an audio track and then use it as an audio effect which results in no sound since you have to choose an audio file within the device (or drag and drop seems to also work).   Best way I've found is to add it to an audio track, then send midi from a midi track to the device so you can control it in real time.   Super cool!

One thing I've noticed, if you have two of these devices going in the same set - when you replace the sample in one, it automatically updates the sample in the other.   So there's no way to play more than one sample, even if you have 2 or 3 of the devices loaded.   Anyway around this?
