What it is

AWS – FetCrusher is a Max for Live audio effect: FET-style distortion that goes from subtle saturation to proper crush.

Why it matters

Most distortion is either “nothing” or “wrecked.” FetCrusher stays musical in the middle, and deliberate when pushed.

How to use it

Add it to a track or bus, raise Input until it wakes up and add Drive for intensity

Shape with Tone (darker = smoother, brighter = more bite)

Set Output to level-match for honest A/B

Controls:

Input — hit the circuit

Drive — crush amount

Tone — tilt shaping

Output — level match

Subtle Thickener: Input slight / Drive low / Tone slightly dark / Output match

Drum Edge: Input moderate / Drive medium / Tone neutral / Output match

Crush (Parallel): Input high / Drive high / Tone to taste / blend in
