Interferator M4L – Quad-Layer Noise Modulation

Where Mathematics Becomes Movement.

Interferator is an experimental modulation engine that transforms the concept of

wave interference into a playground for sound designers. Four independent noise

fields are blended into a single, continuously evolving two-dimensional terrain —

and three freely positionable probes sample it simultaneously, delivering organic,

complex modulation to any parameter in Ableton Live.

Built for those who seek more than a simple LFO, Interferator gives you deep

control over each layer's character: choose from seven pattern types — Perlin,

Simplex, Voronoi, Fluid, and more — then shape movement with Density, Flow, and

Entropy controls. The Tilt system lets you distribute complexity across horizontal

and vertical dimensions independently, opening up rich, directional textures that

evolve over time.

Map all three probes to different parameters and watch them move in relation —

structured and mathematical, yet deeply unpredictable. Complex, but never

independent.
