CPHN OPTY

A free (for beta test stage) LA-2A-inspired Max for Live optical tube leveler.

CPHN OPTY is a stereo Max for Live Audio Effect built around slow, musical optical-style leveling, soft knee compression, program-dependent release, and warm tube/transformer-inspired color. It is not a circuit clone or trademarked hardware recreation, but it is designed around the classic optical leveling workflow: simple controls, smooth gain reduction, and a forgiving feel on vocals, bass, guitars, pads, and buses.

Controls

* Peak Reduction: compression amount

* Gain: output makeup, unity around the default setting

* Compress / Limit: softer leveling or firmer peak control

* Mix: dry/wet blend

* Color: harmonic density, low-mid weight, and high-frequency rounding

* Link: stereo detector linking

* HPF: reduces low-frequency pumping in the detector

* Noise: subtle analog-style noise

* Speed: slow, normal, fast opto timing trim

Notes

This is a musical LA-2A-style optical leveler, not a circuit-level hardware clone. The T4-style release behavior, tube color, and transformer tone are DSP approximations designed for musical use inside Ableton Live.
