Description

TR2gen_mr is a 2 step sequencer. Just two steps, each one bar long, and all it does is generate 2 chords (separated by a fixed pitch interval) made up of major or minor triads, so producing three sustained notes in each bar. You can set the pitch of each chord, if it is major or minor, if you want fixed or random inversions to be applied to the three notes, and how long the notes last. Simple - but a great idea generator!

Fantastic device! I really enjoyed the little writeup on hitrecord. Amazing how simple the theory is behind this technique. Thanks!

Hello, my comment on your blog does not appear so i repost it : I just discovered this device few days ago and Wow ! I find it Fantastic !! I use it every day since to come up with awesome chrod progressions ! I wonder if it is possible to make the notes chooser mappable to make macros of it ? Right now it is not possible. Indeed what would be cool is to make some kind of "presets" by creating Macro Variations. Also having a 4 chords version of this device would be incredible as the 4 chords progression is a standard in music... :) Anyway, great work !!
