Nothing particularly fancy here. Just some tools I occasionally use to make non-linearities (compressors, waveshapers) react differently.

You can use it to add DC Offset to create more even harmonics from distortions or add some randomness for a bit more liveliness. The DC offset filter can be used to better control the offset (by removing any before applying) or to remove dc offset that was previously added.
