Description

sinusoidal run rhythm

If one adds up in-phase cosine functions in integer ratios – which are pure intervals in the audible range – these entail special characteristics in the form of rhythms: they are temporally shifted in their maxima compared to corresponding notated, discrete rhythms, and are thereby something fundamentally different from polyrhythms in the same ratio a:b. In addition, the rhythms have volume weightings between their maxima.

SRR MIDI Transformer is a parameter modulation LFO run by in-phase cosine functions in integer ratios

with 2, 3 or 4 partials as s&h of cosine maxima

transforms incoming MIDI signals in time and velocity

well this looks fantastic! Thanks for sharing and also providing the additional technical data and diagrams. I can't say I understand a lot of it but it makes it more fun while playing with the device to have an idea of what's going on.
