change the color of a selected clip

*a fork of popmachine's fork of nicolas vair's patch

i refactored it so its easier to work on and fixed a bug where the color sometimes wouldn't change

sidenote: i feel weird posting this since my changes were relatively minor. it'd be cool if device pages had a section for remixes.
