Control XL is a Max for Live device + 15 custom modes for the Novation Launch Control XL MK3. It gives the controller one fixed layout in Ableton Live — the same faders, knobs, and buttons across every project. Native MIDI mappings don't carry between Live Sets; Control XL stores them inside the device, so your layout stays the same from studio to stage. Your hands build muscle memory you can trust live.

Modes 1–10 are your instrument control. Modes 11–14 become a dedicated mixer. Mode 15 adds a Cue/Prelisten layout.

Jump between layers with a single button or hotkey.

Two encoder banks provide 6 controls per channel.

Momentary or toggle switching gives you temporary access to adjacent channel pages. Hold for quick access, turn the encoder to lock in. Works consistently across pages and banks.

Added Performance FX controls (CC12 + CC44). CC44 resets sends and restores send values, returning automated sends to their original state.

Added Navigation Controls (CC50). Navigate through the Live Set. CC50 = right, CC49 + CC50 = left.
