Description

Kick drum and mono synthbass generator for Max for Live.

What's new in 2.0

Full rebuild. Main changes:

UI redesigned from scratch, stock Ableton style

Now always MIDI-driven (no MIDI toggle anymore)

Per-block velocity matrix added

Per-block randomization added

Faster, more precise envelopes

Reworked pitch and amp envelopes

Amp length now set in time divisions

Antialiased oscillator

Better voice stealing on retrigger

Simplified oscilloscope

The oscillator starts as a sine and is reshaped continuously while the sound plays. Every parameter is driven by an envelope, so the waveform changes shape from the transient to the tail instead of staying fixed. You can start on a saw, bend toward a square, saturate near the end, etc.

Six waveshaper blocks: triangle, saw, square, fold, spike, drive. Each has an amount, a slope (how the shaping evolves over the envelope), and an invert.

Pitch and amplitude envelopes, both with an XY pad for curve and shape. Amp length is set in time divisions. Pitch is set by the incoming MIDI note.

Also includes:

- FM with sine/saw/noise modulator, ratio locked to musical values

- Dynamic lowpass that tracks the oscillator frequency, harmonic mixer, one-sample exciter

- Noise generator or your own sample as a second layer, with optional inverse ring mod (sample sits in the dips of the kick)

- Per-block velocity and randomization

- 6 snapshot slots

- Amp envelope can be mapped to any Live parameter (sidechain, FX, etc.)

- Detachable oscilloscope window

MIDI-driven, so it plays as a percussive synth or a mono bass.

Requires Ableton Live 11 or 12 with Max for Live. Not compatible with Push Standalone. Tested on macOS and Windows.
