Description

This device is intended to function similar to Machine Drum parameter locks. Twiddle the knob on the interface and feed the input of the device any midi note. Works great with live twiddling and automation or you could connect an LFO (not included) to the Param Lock knob.

Think of it like a sample hold.

You can use it on a midi track by itself or put it in front of a device in a drum rack or something.

Doesn't necessarily have to effect the instrument of the channel it's resting on, you could have Parameter Locks on a channel containing a rhythmic snare pattern but have the Parameter effecting the filter cutoff of a synth on another track, this would mean that the filter cutoff of the synth would only change when the rhythmic snare sound is heard.

Limitation: There is a small drop down that says "typeA" and "typeB" this is because some parameters in live seem to want differently scaled values than others and since I'm not a pro max programmer I couldn't figure out how to automatically scale my devices output. So if you come across a parameter that doesn't respond at all try using the other type of output.

There may be parameters in live that don't respond to either output type. I noticed that Operators algorithm does not respond. I doubt you'll come across very many that don't.

These limitations will likely be fixed in the near future.
