Description

ScreenPlay is an interactive computer music system (ICMS) designed for use by 1 - 16 users via dedicated GUIs that, in addition to including Markovian generative algorithms, incorporates elements of topic theory as a means of transforming melodies and textural/timbral components of the musical output of the system. While the GUI functions similarly to the Ableton Push, the real power of the system is in the algorithms. These algorithms can also be accessed entirely without the use of the GUI to provide better integration into the setups and workflows of pactising electronic/computer musicians.
