Description

Using gtm.MIDIdrone is really simple and it's the perfect companion to Live 11's Drone Lab Pack. Set the maximum note length to 8, 16, or 32 bars; for every active step in the sequence, the number of possible note durations increases by one, with each new possible note duration equal to half the length of the one preceding it. For example, if the maximum note length is set to 16 bars and the range (sequence length) is set to 5 steps, the possible note durations for each step are 16, 8, 4, 2, and 1 bar(s). The minimum possible note length is 1 beat, while all durations have an equal probability of being generated. gtm.MIDIdrone works with any time signature (although possible note durations are always rounded to a whole beat) and in conjunction with the scales functionality in Live/Push thanks to the improvements made to Live 11's API in this regard.
