Description

Psyn is a pattern synthesis sequencer environment

Taking its cue from Mark Fell's work on the Multistability album and the papers before it, these devices create rhythmic patterns in an unconventional way. Each step can have a different duration, a different amount of note repetitions, different velocity and note duration. This creates patterns that can range from complex rhythms to real timbres given by the very fast repetition of notes.

Basically it’s a MIDI effect but it has the possibility to act as a real musical instrument.

The Timbre that is generated by setting very fast patterns is based on the instrument device that follows it.

The notes it generates can be a fixed note or even input notes (single or chords also) on the track. In sustain mode the input notes can even decide when the sequencer should start and when it should stop, creating a real musical instrument.

picked this up yesterday and many thanks! this kicks ass. I still have a lot to explore but I am currently catching myself with a feature request.
there may be a work around which ill look into.
But I would love to be able to have fixed on and midi mapping a knob to the fixed faders. Seems I can map everything except that.
If it can't be done no worries! just creating a hands on midi map and this seems like a very interactive setup.
    Thanks again and cheers!

    Thanks!
This feature is actually already included but for the moment is only visible on push controllers (and on automation in track). At this point I will make it available to everyone in the next edit. If you want, write me an email and I'll send it to you in beta test.
