Description

Ferrous Modulation adds mains, wow and flutter frequency modulation to audio. It is intended to provide similar changes to an audio signal as might be heard in an analogue tape system.

This is a companion effect to my Ironic Distortion effect (also available on this site), which is more oriented towards digital processing artefacts. The pair form the main parts of The Synthesizerwriter M4L Tape (etc.) Suite, and require only a saturation/device effect of your choice to complete a sophisticated audio degredation system.

Because of his ongoing enthusiasm for guitar pedals, I dedicate this suite to Christian Henson (of Spitfire Audio fame).
