Description
Yet another Euclidean rhythm generator! It’s distinctive characteristic though is to be combined here with an arpeggiator. It plays the notes from a held chord as a series, like a classic arpeggiator, but with more sophisticated rhythmic patterns that take their source from a real Euclidean engine.
To jazz up things a bit more, the Euclidean generator can pass the played pattern through a random note drop filter that will provide variations by arbitrarily removing some hits from the initial pattern. This feature takes its inspiration from the Spice and Dice module of the Arturia Microfreak.
And if that wasn't enough, Euclidiator provides two autonomous Euclidean rhythmic lines! This makes it possible to construct even more sophisticated interlaced rhythm patterns. To control each of those rhythmic lines, we determine a split point in the held notes. The lower notes will feed the lower line while the upper notes will be transferred into the upper line.
All the parameters can be controlled in realtime which provides endlessly possibilities for playing live. All these feature makes the Euclidiattor a very fun and inspiring device to play with.
