Description

The Volca Sample Editor is a set of MaxForLive devices that can take samples from any instrument inside Ableton Live. You can specify the start and end points and transfer it to your Volca Sample. It’s integrated into Ableton Live. There’s no other device or software involved.

New in version 035:

- Combining samples into a sample set

- Sampling drum kits into a sample set

- Saving sample sets

- Transferring sample sets to the Volca Sample in one go

I’ve translated the SYRO library for MaxForLive to communicate with the Volca Sample.

It can be automated from any MIDI device with 16 dials and 16 buttons. A preset for a Midi Fighter Twister is included, but a cheap NanoKONTROL will also fit the bill.

The Volca Sample Editor is written for MaxForLive 6. It is not tested for MaxForLive 7.

looks really good, quick note you left in some extra vsti in the live set (dx10.vsti).

I left it on purpose. I needed to put some instrument there. The dx10 from Image Line is a nice ancient VST instrument that doesn't distract (I thought) from my new love baby.

Ah, i didnt have it. Maybe throw in a simpler preset instead? Everyone should at least have that.

Please replace the DX10 with anything that makes a sound when it's receiving a MIDi note ;-) A simpler is a good candidate.
