Description

L11 introduced Rack's Variations. It's an awesome feature, but Ableton didn't make it user-friendly, rendering it almost unusable.

SnapShooter, a maxforlive device, is solving this by giving you key/midi shortcuts to control the currently selected Rack's Variations. Instead of mapping every single Rack's Variations controls, you map SnapShooter once and it then becomes you "Variations control hub". Simple as that.

Of course, you also get a built-in Push implementation that doesn't interfere with its default behavior.

SnapShooter key/midi shortcuts let you:

navigate Variations (with the up/down buttons and/or Tempo encoder on Push)

save new Variations (with the New button on Push)

delete Variations (with the Delete button on Push)

randomize Macros (with the Quantize button on Push)

Set it once, save as part of your default Template, read the manual and experience a native-like control over Variations.

    Hi ive found snapshooter very handy. what i am missing is a way to morph between snapshot over a period of time, like for instance when i setup a clip in clyphix pro.
    I was wondering if it was at all possible to add a morph between snapshots over a selected amount of time that is defined by the user from seconds to minutes?
    just my thoughts cheers!

    @masproduct
    The point of this release was to make sure it is solid and user-friendly as possible.
    Now we can start thinking about adding features ;-)

    @Crampe Can we automate things?? Such option is also totally omitted from original device.
    Best!!

    @MhZ
    if Record is enabled then the changes will be recorded to the rack's Macros yes.

    That’s pretty fine, but are the snapshots listed from your device available via an automation lane? Thanks for clarifying!!

    no MhZ, the Varaitions implementation in M4L doesn't offer this possibility as of today.

    @Crampe
    Thank you for making this! Are you planning on adding the ability to morph between snapshots at a selected amount of time, or even manually with a midi mappable fader?
    Best, Tian
