Description

miniShift is a MaxForLive port from Pure Data of the granular pitch shift algorithm by Johannes Kreisler, www.pd-tutorial.com/english/ch03s07.html.

 

It sounds slightly different than its PD counterpart but the concept is the same.  

 This is an object-by-object, stereo version port made in MaxMSP’s Gen. This means this patch can be easily adjusted and then embedded or compiled to VST.  

  

The parameters are pretty simple:  

 - Wet: controls the amount of wet signal

 - Dry: controls the amount of dry signal

 - Pitch: change the semitone of the grains

 - Feedback: feed the signal back into its variable delay buffer

 - Window: change the window size (in samples). Adjust this one as you please, short window sizes may lead to detune. You can also obtain a pseudo-realtime-timestretch with certain settings and sound sources  

 You are free to reuse this algorithm as you like.
