Description
ProbablyCHORD is a free multi-step, clip-event triggered, generative and probabilistically controlled chord generator plug-in device for Ableton Live, implemented in MaxForLive. It is based on TR2gen, but with added extras and more flexible grid-based control.
Compared to TR2gen, there are more steps, and you can control the memory slots with named clips (use the number of the slot e.g. 1 for slot 1). Clips are also used to provide events that drive the steps, so you can create chords with any timing you like just by placing notes in a clip - and the note also sets the root note of the chord.
ProbablyCHORD is kind of a companion to ProbablyR, my monophonic sequencer. The idea is to make it easy to explore chord progressions, and to make generative and probabilistic control accessable.
I'm working on demo videos, but you can hear ProbablyCHORD in action now on SoundCloud:

(If you are wondering why this is version 0.04, then just imagine a long and difficult development process...)
