This Max for Live device allows you switch to the piano roll view when the currently selected clip slot begins recording, and switches back to the chain view when the clip slot stops recording.

This tool is super helpful for live loopers, DJs that incorporate live instruments with session view, and any Ableton user that records and uses Ableton's session view.
