Description
This device can be useful for a great number of techniques such as creating percussive articulations, tremolo patterns, arpeggiated patterns, delay effects, chime-like effects…it’s designed for those of want control over their instruments, particularly percussive instruments.
Notable features:
Time mode : choose between free or synced delay times (Qntz menu lets you quantitze the notes with Live’s transport if you want to be synchronizes with the beats)
Note Mode : choose between mono or poly mode. In mono, notes are played successively in one voice (either in the order they were played or randomly). In poly mode, all notes are played immediately in multiple voices.
Limiter : limit the number of repeated notes. Useful for creating articulations.
Velocity mode : choose between played velocities or fixed velocity, where you can control the velocity of repeated notes with a dial. By mapping a controller to this dial, you can then control the velocity dynamically and create tremolo effects with percussive instruments.
Random : two different dials let you add some randomness to the delay time as well as the velocity, from very subtle humanization to complete chaotic effects.
